Hello! I am a medical doctor specialized in Anesthesiology, now working in Occupational Medicine, with eight years of clinical experience across Portugal and other European countries. My background in high-pressure environments, from emergency medicine to specialized anesthesia care, has sharpened my ability to communicate effectively while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
My passion for medical writing arises from a deep commitment to evidence-based medicine and health literacy. I have authored scientific articles, patient brochures, clinical audits, and medical protocols, ensuring clarity and scientific accuracy in every piece. My work has been published in peer-reviewed journals such as Cureus and The Journal of Nutritional Biochemistry, and I have presented at international conferences, including Euroanaesthesia.
Beyond my clinical career, I actively contribute to medical communication. I write as a volunteer for MedReport, translating complex scientific data into engaging and accessible content. To further refine my skills in the regulatory and strategic aspects of medical communication, I am starting a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Research and Medical Writing at the James Lind Institute.
With expertise in literature review, data interpretation, and interdisciplinary collaboration, I focus on medical writing within the MedComms, Pharmaceutical and Medical Devices industries, helping organizations translate scientific knowledge into actionable communication.
If you’re looking for a dedicated medical writer who combines clinical expertise with strong analytical and communication skills, I’d love to collaborate. Let’s connect!
You can find samples of my work, including research articles and other writing projects, in my portfolio.
